About Us

The Catholic Community of St. Francis Xavier (CCSFX) began in 1988 as a mass station of St. Joseph's Church in Cockeysville, Maryland. From a small but visionary nucleus of devoted followers of Christ guided and inspired by our first pastor, Father Thomas Donellan, the community has grown to over 1200 families. Although we primarily serve the Northern Baltimore County area, we are a welcoming community and openly invite all worshipers to join us.

Our vision is to be a life-giving faith community that proclaims the Good News of Jesus Christ. Our community is sustained on the basis of a unique set of charisms or special gifts that we share. As a community, we demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of Jesus Christ, a sensitivity to the needs of the members of our community and to others in need, a willingness to contribute our time, talent, and treasures according to our abilities, a willingness to work together, a willingness to reach out and welcome new members, and a genuine enthusiasm in proclaiming our faith.
