The City of God Prayer Group was formed at CCSFX shortly after the formation of the CCSFX parish and has been active ever since. The mission and main purpose of the prayer group is: To experience the dynamic and transforming relationship with God, as our loving Father, Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. The prayer group is governed by a Core Team selected from among its members and is under the authority of the CCSFX pastor.
The group normally meets on Wednesday evenings at CCSFX. The meeting emphasizes charismatic praise, worship and discernment. All are welcome to participate in the meetings even if not a member of CCSFX or not of the Catholic faith. Prayer is frequently offered up for individual, local, national and even global concerns during the meeting.
In addition to the above, the Prayer Group
offers two opportunities for prayer support:
(1) Prayer Box: The Prayer Box is located in the CCSFX chapel. Written petitions can be put in the box at any time. Those petitions are prayed for at every prayer meeting and at other times. They are never read – the box is periodically emptied and the petitions destroyed.
(2) Healing Mass: A Healing Mass is offered on the second Sunday of March, June, September and December. Anointing of the sick is offered at this Mass. Also prayer teams are available after Mass.
(3) Prayer Chain: Please email our Prayer Chain with your prayer request by CLINKING HERE. Your petitions are prayed for at every prayer meeting and at other times.
