Camp GLOW (God Loves Our World) is a week-long residential summer camp for adults with disabilities held at the Monsignor O’ Dwyer Retreat Center in Sparks, MD. Begun by Sr. Justa Walton, I.H.M., in the 1970’s, Camp GLOW has been an annual tradition providing spiritual development and social enhancement to hundreds of camp participants.
Camp GLOW fosters a loving environment in which participants strengthen their relationship with the Lord through the celebration of Mass and other spiritual activities. In addition, there are many fun activities including music, swimming, hiking, sports, arts and crafts, movies, parties. dances, and a talent show. For many, Camp GLOW provides the only vacation they will have during the year. It also provides a respite for parents whose sons or daughters live at home.
