Father Robert Leavitt will be celebrating his 50th anniversary of ordination as a priest at the 11:00 Mass. We welcome you to celebrate with us on Pentecost Sunday – the birthday of the church!
Father Leavitt was ordained to the priesthood at St. Joseph Cathedral in Hartford, Connecticut, May 23, 1968. Shortly after that, he returned to St. Mary’s Seminary for doctoral studies and teaching. In 1980, the Sulpician Provincial Council appointed him president-rector of St. Mary’s Seminary & University which continued until 2007. In 2008. he was appointed France Merrick University Professor of Theology.
A lite fare luncheon will be held immediately afterwards in the Gathering Space.
