When Pope Paul VI wrote Humanae Vitae 50 years ago, he predicted the consequences of the sexual revolution would lead to “marital infidelity and a general lowering of moral standards” and men “may forget the reverence due to a woman, and…reduce her to being a mere instrument for the satisfaction of his own desires,” which we see today from higher divorce to #MeToo and scandals in the church.
