Once you have scheduled a funeral date and time, the Priest or Deacon celebrating the funeral will want to meet with you at the parish. This meeting is a time to share about the life of your loved one, choose roles for persons you would like to participate in the funeral liturgy, and select songs and readings.

Facility – There is a $200 stipend for the use of the church.
Music – We have professional cantors and organists available for funerals. Their fees are $150 for the cantor and $200 for the accompanist. It is paid for by the family. Guest musicians may be used but only with prior approval.
Livestreaming – If you wish to have your service livestreamed, please let us know. We will make the necessary arrangements. The cost to livestream is $125.
Flowers – May be brought or delivered to the church for the funeral. If you want to take your flowers after the funeral, please gather them right after the liturgy. Otherwise, you may leave them as a memorial to your loved one.
Printed programs – Often may be prepared by the funeral home as part of their services. The Catholic Community of St. Francis Xavier does not print programs.
Altar Servers – If a family member is an active altar server, they are welcome to serve.
