“Enkindle the love of Jesus in the hearts of the young.”
—Saint John Baptist de La Salle
We invite children in PK–5th grade to grow in faith with us during Faith Formation classes, held on select Sundays from 10:00–10:55 am.
Catholic Faith Formation, or Catechesis, is the process by which young people come to know, love and follow God and the teachings of the Church.
In our Faith Formation program, we want learning to come alive in ways that inspire an active, living faith. In this lifelong journey, effective faith formation nurtures a holistic understanding of the core beliefs, practices, and attitudes of Catholicism—showing not just what they are, but how to live them out at each young person’s stage of growth.
This year at The Catholic Community of St. Francis Xavier, children will grow through the Discover! series from St. Mary’s Press. To support families at home, we’ll also be sharing RCL Benziger’s Family Life series, which gently addresses the key concerns and joys of today’s Catholic families while reinforcing the Catholic virtues and values.
