Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We have a beautiful church located in Hunt Valley, Maryland. We welcome the opportunity to have your special day here.
Here’s four things to keep in mind:
(1) Call the Parish Office
Soon after your engagement, please contact the Parish Office to speak with Janet Kratfel at 410-785-0356 x710 or email her at [email protected]. Janet will obtain your contact information as well as discuss dates for your ceremony.
(2) Meet with a Priest or Deacon.
The next step will be to meet with a priest or deacon to discuss your marriage. Once your celebrant has let you know he is available to preside at your wedding, please let Janet know so she can reserve your date in our church calendar. Be sure to confirm dates with both your celebrant and the parish before finalizing any contracts.
(3) Explore Marriage Prep
Marriage Prep is a time for you to reflect on what’s important to you and to talk with other couples who have been down this road. It is also a great way to prepare you for the challenges of day-to-day life after the honeymoon. Marriage preparation is offered two ways:
Sponsor Couple Program: A married couple from our parish meets with you and offers guidance on how to make your upcoming marriage a success. This program is for CCSFX parish members only. Contact Mary Cohn at the Parish Office – 410-785-0356 x711 or email her at [email protected] to learn more about the Sponsor Couple program.
If you are not a member of CCSFX, please visit https://www.archbalt.org/marriage-family-life/marriage-preparation/ for a list of marriage prep programs and weekends which are available. Your celebrant should also be able to provide you with information.
(4) Connect with our Music Director
Please email our Music Director, Julie Grace Males –[email protected] to discuss music for your wedding ceremony at least six month prior to your wedding date. There are guidelines to be aware of so as to ensure your ceremony is as beautiful as possible. Julie Grace has a list of skilled cantors and accompanists.
