“Social justice concerns the social, political and economic aspects and, above all,
the structural dimension of the problems and their respective solutions.”
– Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church no. 201

ADVOCACY

When we make a donation, we help a small group of people. When we change laws or policies, we can make an even bigger impact. How do we do that?

Our representatives in government need to hear from us. A few letters or emails can make a big difference. The Outreach and Advocacy Committee is forming an email network of people to become informed about and advocate for social justice-related bills in the Maryland General Assembly.

Starting in January, as significant bills are introduced, you’ll get an email with information about the bill, and how to contact legislators if you would like to support or oppose the bill.  There is no obligation to act on any bill.  Please contact Amy Mason at [email protected] for more information and to join the network.
